Restoration Forth
Photographing Inclusive Oyster Surveys with Restoration Forth: I photographed Restoration Forth’s inclusive oyster surveying project in the Firth of Forth, where members of the Deaf community were welcomed to take part in marine restoration activities supported by British Sign Language interpretation. Working alongside the project team, I documented participants surveying native oysters and engaging directly with Scotland’s coastal ecosystems which was for many, their first opportunity to access hands-on marine conservation in this way. The project also supported the development of new marine STEM signs, helping strengthen connections between accessibility, language, and environmental action.
